Stem cell research and POST MI MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION

Recovering from a myocardial infarction (heart attack) can be tiring and stressful. If you’ve been through this experience and are now in cardiac rehabilitation, you may want to consider our non-invasive Stem Cell Therapy treatment.

Myocardial infarctions occur approximately 1.5 million times a year in the United States, and occur twice as often amongst men than women. After a myocardial infarction, there are a few precautionary steps to take so that the heart can properly heal after the trauma.

Cause of Myocardial Infarction:

The heart plays an integral part in the cardiovascular system, which involves a network of all different types of blood vessels. If any of these vessels become blocked or narrowed due to plaque buildup, it can lead to a significant decrease of blood flow to your heart. In such a case, the cause of most myocardial infarctions result from blockage in arteries because of:

  • Bad cholesterol
  • Saturated fats
  • Trans fat

What IS POST MI MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION?

Myocardial infarction occurs when blood flow is restricted to the heart because of a blocked or restricted artery. The lack of blood flow and oxygen severely damages the heart muscle and it starts to die. This is when the heart attack occurs.
