Neuropathy Pain Treatment

You’ve probably tried medication, creams and supplements, but your neuropathy pain just won't fade. The pain, aches and odd sensations are simply becoming unbearable. We have helped many patients throughout North America with their neuropathy pain.

The word neuropathy is an umbrella term that encompasses quite a few different disorders. Neuropathy is a damage or defects within the peripheral nerve system, which branches out from the spinal cord and brain.  Symptoms often include pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness.

Cause of Neuropathy Pain:

Unfortunately, about 30% of all neuropathy is diagnosed as idiopathic, meaning that the cause is unknown despite thorough evaluation. Unfortunately, this can make treatment more difficult.
Diabetes is responsible for about 30% of neuropathy. High blood sugar levels severely damage nerves, leading to further complications that only make it harder to stay healthy with this disease.
Other causes of neuropathy include:
  • Alcoholism, especially addictions that stretch over decades
  • Exposure to toxins and heavy metals
  • Tumors – even benign lumps can put serious pressure on a nerve bundle
  • Chronic diseases like HIV, AIDS, hypothyroidism, and Lyme disease
  • Diseases and conditions that affect kidney and liver function
  • Nutritional imbalances that lead to B vitamin deficiencies
  • Sudden trauma or daily habits, such as poor posture and a lack of ergonomic office equipment

How Can Stem Cell Therapy Help?

Neuropathy Pain Symptoms:

Serious cases of nerve compression or damage can cause paralysis, loss of consciousness, or breathing problems. However, these severe cases are extremely rare. The most common forms of peripheral neuropathy trigger symptoms like:

  • Foot and ankle pain
  • Inflammation in the knees, calves, or shoulders
  • Limited movement
  • Numbness and tingling in the extremities and limbs
  • Weakness or tremors
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Chronic pain and fatigue
  • Stiff neck muscles

Neuropathy Risks:

Neuropathy has been connected to a wide variety of health conditions as both a factor of cause and effect. Apart from the factors that can cause neuropathy pain, the condition itself can also be a catalyst for:

  • Immune system disorders
  • Repetitive stress
  • Accidents (like burns, trips, falls and bruises)
  • Anxiety and depression
